UNSW PhotoClub's AGM (Annual General Meeting) is just around the corner. It is scheduled on 15th September 2009 (Tuesday), 1700hrs at ASB 119.

Please make time to come for this event.

As always all positions are up for grabs. You are welcomed to nominate yourself or a friend for a position on the day itself or a proxy nomination via email if you are unable to attend on the day itself. Let us know what position you are interested in and please do include a short speech which will be read out on your behalf during the meeting.

For the 2009/2010 Executive Committee, we will be opening up more positions for members to fill. Before considering what positions to run for, you might want to consider the following points.

Running out of ideas? Face it, everything has been seen and shot. So how do you make a different picture? Travel photography is fun but everyone has the same shot from the same angle. Learn to make yours different from the rest of the pack. Come join us and share your ideas at this workshop. Bring along your photos to share. Don't be shy! Do bring along your camera too for some hands on practice.

Hi Photoclub members!

After last week lighting workshop at UNSW, I believe everyone wants to do an outdoor shoot and try using natural light and your speed light for a shoot. We managed to find 2 models this coming friday for this week. In this portraiture shoot out, you get to practise how to pose a model and practise better composition for pictures, test out different focal length, depth of field and angle for the shoot.

Base on last session feedback, we decided to limit this workshop size to 6 members so that all of you have more time to practise with the models.

A 3 day trip to a festival in Canberra: The Floriade Festival. The name deceives how much there is to actually do there.

Nature photographers/macro - 13 different floral gardens. Night/star gazing. Sunset shots. Plus you're in Canberra. Enough said.
Animal photographer - Reptile exhibition. Farm animals.
Portrait/People photography/Paparazzi - Street performers, magicians, Marcia Hines (lol :P)
Action photography - Acrobats, Fire performers - involving fire hulla hoops and breathing!
Learners - photography workshops, and plenty of photographers around you, all at different levels.

Hey guys!
We are having another outing this week. A walk along a bunch of beaches. This is specifically landscape photography, however this doesn't stop you from bringing your friends and taking some model photos by the beach :)

Meet up outside John Clancy 2.00pm on Thursday.
